Akil Cooper

Akil Cooper is a Product Designer and Creative Technologist based in Brooklyn, NY. His work translates creative and emerging technologies into scalable systems that lead to tangible impact for people and organizations. Through a continuous practice in design, Akil considers how technology can be made accessible and sustainable for local and underrepresented communities. He specializes in interaction design, design systems, and frontend engineering, enabling him to design and build experiences that reach and engage deeply.

Akil is a graduate of Howard University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems. He’s a Senior Product Designer at Publicis Sapient and the Founder of Triber Cooperative, a collectively-owned operating system and network for independent Black technologists and creatives, with a focus on enabling deeper collaboration amongst the group and driving talent toward impact-aligned opportunities.
